2007 SPRING CHALLENGE  2007 Spring Challenge
The 5th Annual Spring Challenge, April 27-29 in Austin, Texas had participation at an all time high with 49 test vehicles, 43 journalists and 56 industry representatives in attendance. Many thanks to the Board of Directors, our Challenge Chairman Gretha Gudmundsson and volunteers Ella Patterson, Linda Water Nelson and Jo Ann Holt. Vicki Cosgrove and Jayna Dougherty deserve special thanks for efforts above and beyond the call of their day jobs. The event could not have been such a success without the participation of the manufacturers, our new hospitality sponsors, the press fleet guys and others. Thanks to Mike Herzing for helping find new hospitality sponsors. Alan & Judy Gell & daughter, Charity Boozier, coordinated the most successful silent auction ever The sun setting over beautiful Lake Travis on the northwest side of Austin was the perfect conclusion to this outstanding event. Our testing was done on the scenic roads and highways of the Texas Hill Country from our base at the Oasis Restaurant. The writers' top choices in five categories are as follows.
