HAROLD GUNN TAWA PRESIDENT 2008

Harold is the producer
and co-host of the syndicated radio programs, The Automotive Reporter and Texas
Outdoor News. For over 35 years he has been a writer, producer and host of radio
and television interview, information and entertainment programs airing
regionally and nationally. Harold has written, produced, and been a
spokesman for thousands of radio and television commercials through his
advertising/public relations consulting and production company, Claymore
Productions. He is familiar to companies around the world through his years of
appearing in the highly successful "Safety Shorts" videos. Harold is a fifth
generation Texas rancher with a lifetime of outdoor experience from Alaska to
Africa. In addition to TAWA, he is a member of the Texas Outdoor Writers
Association, Southeast Outdoor Press Association, and the Outdoor Writers
Association of America. His writing credits include Texas Outdoors Journal, GUNS
Magazine, SHOT Business, Texas Fish and Game, and Texas Driver magazines. Harold
is the 1998 recipient of the "John Wootter's Award for Excellence in
Broadcasting and Journalism," awarded the American Cancer Society Major Market
Radio Feature First Place in 1996 and 2002, is a member of the Texas Radio Hall
of Fame and in 2003 was honored as a "Pioneer of Broadcasting" by the Texas
Association of Broadcasters.

Newspaper veteran Bill Owney has spent more than 25 years in the business. He has been a reporter, a managing editor and publisher.
His many awards include citations for investigative reporting from the Associated Press Managing Editors Association, the New York Times' Sulzburger Award for Community Journalism and honors for editorial, column and news writing from the Texas Press Association. Under his direction, newspapers have earned a number of awards, including the Texas Press Association's top honors for General Excellence, Community Service and the Sweepstakes Award for best in circulation class.
He is now the auto writer for the Texarkana Gazette and a public school teacher.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Florida and is a graduate student in instructional technology at Texas A&M University – Texarkana .
GUILLEMO DE LA CORTE TAWA TREASURER 2008 
Guillemo de la Corte was born in Madrid (Spain). Graduated as Aeronautical Engineer in the University of Madrid. Worked at an aircraft manufacturer for 12 years before moving to the US. During college worked part time as a photographer and reporter for a local newspaper. He obtained a certification as Professional Photographer by Centro de Enseñanzas de la Imagen.After graduation he became Director of the Association of Aeronautical Engineers magazine.
He his correspondent in the US for Avion Revieu, an Spanish aeronautical magazine.
For six years he was owner of a Public Relations and Advertising Agency specialized in the Hispanic market. He produced magazines and directories, such as Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Directory under a four years contract.
He worked for La Fuente a bilingual magazine of The Dallas Morning News as Spanish proofreader and copywriter, from the first issue to closing, about six years.
He also started in the same capacity seven years ago, for the first issue too, for Nexos a Spanish magazine of American Airlines. Today he is a regular contributor writer, member of the Editorial Council and recently became Assistant Director. In 2003 he created MundoMotor, an auto and motorcycle news magazine in Spanish, distributed in the Dallas area

Ella
Patterson is an American author. Ella writes primarily about women's issues
particularly relationships. Ella devides her time between St. Louis, Missouri,
DeSoto, TX., and Atlanta, GA. She is a leading international speaker, trainer,
consultant, educator and journalist who works with all industries:
Corporate/Business, Healthcare, Education and Government. Ella has a Bachelors
degree in Health and Secondary Education and extensive work in Communications

ALBERT FLORES TAWA PAST PRESIDENT (2006) 
Albert began his relationship with the automotive industry as a writer back 12 years ago when he co-hosted a radio show with then TAWA President Tom Wolfgang. From that experience, Albert went on to write for several publications as a freelancer, ending up writing a weekly column for La Prensa in San Antonio some 6 years ago. Though he continues his weekly column for La Prensa, he has expanded his weekly automotive columns to the Brownsville Herald, the El Mundo Newspaper in Austin, a quarterly column in Latinos on Wheels, and a bi monthly nationally distributed magazine called Latino Leaders.

Once
journalists complete their evaluation of the vehicle, a review of
the vehicle is either published or broadcast on radio or television.
